Dementia care at Emerald Life can be provided on a permanent or respite (short term) basis.
Residential Permanent Care
We can accommodate up to 91 patients in either single or companion rooms. For more details on the type of rooms available, please see the Accommodation Page.
Respite (short term) Care
Caring for someone with dementia can be intense and physically demanding. We offer respite care to allow relatives to take a break from their regular caring role. This can also act as an introduction to residential care for the family members and their loved one.
Emerald Life provides short term Respite Care for a minimum period of 2 weeks to a maximum of 9 weeks per financial year.
Prospective respite guests must have an ACCR (Aged Care Client Record) or ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team) to be eligible for respite care.
Please follow the link to the MyAgedCare website for further information.
Respite care can be booked 12 months in advance for eligible recipients.
